You may have read how meta tags are not important to your blog or website. This is only a half truth. Meta tags are not important as a rank builder as they were in the past but the still have a use when applying SEO to your blog. Optimizing in its true form is tweaking the HTML elements and such to make your website search engine friendly. I still use them as part of my blog plan not only for SEO reasons but because they are often used as snippets. It is still worth adding, and every little bit helps.

Your keywords or keyword phrases should be limited to eight. Each ended with a coma and space. (Meta keywords limit may be eight but there is no limit to content keywords). Your keywords must be relevant and use them as part of your blog plan. Blogging can get a little complicated but you need web traffic to compete with other online blogs.

Common mistakes that send your viewers packing, never to return to your blog again. It is hard to attract viewers and harder still to keep them coming back. This list is a list of the six things that should be avoided.

• 1. Avoid Auto Scripts There is nothing worse than auto scripts. Viewers do not want to be hit with pop up advertisements, or a sales pitch video as soon as they open your page. Even adding music or other audio messages can be annoying.
• 2. Slow Pages Websites Websites that take too long to load tend to get shut off before the page even appears. This happens a lot with websites that have too many gadgets. Keep your page clean and uncluttered and it will load faster.
• 3. All Pictures Viewers are looking for information. A blog filled with pictures and no information is useless to most viewers
• 4. Confusing Navigation Bad navigation or none at all is sure turn off. If you webpage suggests or requires further information make the links easy to find
• 5. Poor Choose of  Text Using the wrong words or confusing words can make your message difficult to understand. Simple as possible is the best approach.
• 6. Keyword Bashing Keywords stuffed into content and repeated over and over to gain ranking  doesn't work and is annoying. Get to the point and move on.

What are HTML tags and how to use them

Using tags is a important part of SEO. Using the right tags in the right places increases the chances of having your content indexed and indexed correctly. Optimizing your blogspot blog and getting good search results depends on having your content indexed correctly. Tags are the HTML directions that search engines use to determine what is important, therefore your tags should have keywords relevant to the topic. These keywords should be words that would be used in search queries.
If my goal is to increase web traffic to my online blogs I need to put my tags to good use. h tags ( header tags) and the number corresponds to the value of the content contained inside the tag.  A simple example of  how this.

       <h3> Basic Training </h3> title of my blog post (since I have training used in h1 I will save a h2 tag).

  You can see how it makes it very easy to tell my blog is about "training your dog to sit" Somewhere in all that blah there might be keywords that are directing web traffic to my blog so it may be beneficial to change or add a few tags as needed. Overstating your tags can confuse the search engines this why you need to choose your tags carefully. Suppose I changed the  emphasis tag on "to sit" to an h2. Now it looks like my is my blog is about "to sit your dog" or  "to sit technique" To sit is the strongest text supported by lesser text. Linking text does the same thing. An internal link says there is more information on my blog on this subject, while an external link says this text is supported outside of my website. So if I am going to use a link to give my online blogs text more weight to gain more web traffic, what do you think I would link to? My other posts or to products! I know these links can be annoying at times when you are reading my blogs, but half the reason you even found my blog at all is because they are there. Like any store most of these products are useful but some crap gets through. So why do business pay you to put links on your site?
